The owners of this architecturally designed home in Hendra wanted a natural, tactile floor that would run continuously from the living areas out to the pool. We mechanically polished 150 square metres to a minimum stone exposure semi gloss finish inside, then honed a further 55 square metres to a matte finish across the connected outdoor areas, so the floor reads as one surface from kitchen to alfresco. The pool surround and coping were honed to match, and every step tread and face was hand polished so the finish carries cleanly around the stair and entry, giving the owners a low maintenance floor that feels crafted rather than poured.
