1Showroom & Finish Selection
Client has visited the showroom to choose the process (MPC, G&S, honed, epoxy), stone exposure (nil, minimal/random, full) and gloss level (matte/satin, semi-gloss, high-gloss). A reference image of the look they want helps.
Finish height allowed for in all set-downs, drop-downs and adjoining floor heights, achieving the chosen exposure grinds down roughly 2–3mm (minimal/random) to 5–6mm (full exposure).
Client is aware of your builder's margin when prices are discussed with OzGrind.
Chosen finishes confirmed with both your client and OzGrind so all three parties match, and you've allowed enough in your costings for that process.
2Quote, Costings & Booking
Quote received from OzGrind based on measured plans or a site visit.
Approximate time for the works allowed for in your schedule (timeframes are estimates only).
Aware of OzGrind's general 2–4 week lead time.
Quote approved and a booking made.
Deposit invoice paid (bookings aren't firm until the deposit is paid).
Received the OzGrind Process Guide and floor care instructions.

3The Concrete & Mix
Concrete supplier / concreter / builder told the slab is intended for polished concrete.
Supplier knows the mix is for grinding & polishing, 32/10/80, or 40 MPa for nil exposure, with fresh water instead of recycled where possible.
Received our PDF of slab specifications for pouring a slab for polished concrete.
4The Pour & Curing
A compatible curing compound applied during the pour (or within 24 hours), suitable for our polishing equipment to run on. We sell one, contact our office for assistance.
Concreter is aware of the placement guidelines (pour, vibration, finishing and footprint repair) in our slab specifications.
Slab pour happened on the expected date (if delayed, contact OzGrind to move your booking).
Quick-Cure & Protect discussed, applied on the day of the pour to protect the slab and bring floors forward to 7–10 days (client to confirm if they want it).
5On Site, Trades & Protection
You understand when OzGrind will complete the floors and how this affects your other trades and timelines.
All trades are aware the concrete is being polished and take extra care not to damage, stain or mark it, with signs up on site as reminders. Any damage a trade causes is their responsibility.
Spills cleaned immediately (glue, paint, render, chemicals), never left to cure into the slab.
Trades know to stay off the slab for 48 hours after the pour, and to keep off the finished floor after polishing until the finish has cured, which is finish-dependent, so confirm it with OzGrind (see Builder's FAQ).
Floor protection organised to be installed after the floors are complete.
Care instructions passed on to your client at handover, so they know how to look after their new floor.
